Like so many artists over the past year, soul singer Brian Owens has been anxiously awaiting his return to the stage. Brian Owens first came to worldwide attention as the lead singer with the U.S. Air Force Band Sidewinder, whose YouTube videos garnered more than 2.5 million views and led to the band’s appearances on Entertainment Tonight and The Ellen DeGeneres Show, and at the White House and the World Series. While the pandemic and recent racial tensions weighed on our nation, Brian put his heart and soul into the development of new projects with his collaborators from Life Creative Group. Brian’s performance will span a variety of artists, including Otis Redding, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Michael McDonald, Johnny Cash, and Sam Cooke. Brian takes all of these influences and delivers his own interpretation of the classic R&B sound. Brian is also the founder and Executive Director of L.I.F.E. Arts Inc. (Leadership, Innovation, Faith & Entrepreneurship), a nonprofit that provides artistic resources, opportunities, mentoring, and positive experiences for students in under-served communities throughout Ferguson and the St. Louis metropolitan area.
